Core Health Therapy:
A safe space to heal, grow, and thrive.

Hello and welcome!

As you embark on the therapy journey, I’m curious to learn what brings you here. Maybe it feels like more joy is possible in your life? More fulfillment or purpose? Maybe you’d like to feel more connected to people, or to feel better about yourself? Find more success professionally, creatively, socially? Create the things you want in your life?

In sessions, we can explore it all. Identify patterns, the stories you tell yourself (about you and the world,) and how all of this is impacting your mood, self-worth, relationships, career, family, etc.

My intention is to provide you with reflection, resources, and questions that guide you to your own insight. You may recall things from your past, you may not. You might connect some dots, you might have some breakthroughs. You may be challenged, you might grow. Whatever therapy is meant to be for you, it can be.

To start, let’s find a time for a free 15-minute phone consultation. We’ll use that conversation to determine if we’re a good mutual fit, and if yes, when we can begin working together. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to send me a quick note, I look forward to hearing from you!

About Corrine Van Vliet

Corrine has a Master of Clinical Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago with a minor in Addiction Counseling. She has years of experience working in TV writers’ rooms, of running group therapy at various drug/alcohol treatment centers, and of being a person on this planet with real-life experience where things didn't go according to plan. As a result, she operates with a lot of empathy.

Corrine guides clients through shame, self-acceptance, creating routines of self-care, practicing new behaviors, grief, early recovery, and navigating the entertainment industry, chronic illness, and relationship conflict. Corrine's compassion offers a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment and safe space in which to open up about all that’s going on in your life.

Corrine’s work as a TV writer includes support staff jobs. Because she understands what working in the entertainment industry entails, Corrine works with many people who are building and working to sustain a creative career that involves uncertainty, the ability to budget for indefinite times of hiatus between seasons or jobs, and the management of anxiety.

Corrine plays volleyball and used to coach, so she also understands the plight of an athlete, and the importance of staying active, having hobbies, and working as a team.
